The library provides access to some resources in our Government Documents and Serials collections which are stored in microform, either on cards (microfiche) or on film rolls (microfilm).

Microfiche readers are available in the Government Documents area on the main floor of the library and can only be used to view microfiche cards.

The microform reader available in the Serials area on the third floor of the library can be used to view both microfiche cards and microfilm rolls. This machine has increased functionality which allows users to save images from a microform resource as files which can be emailed or printed.

Please Ask for Assistance

The library staff at Prescott Memorial Library is here to assist with any library equipment needs. When using our microform readers for the first time, please consult a staff member at the Reference or Circulation desks on the main floor, or in the office or workroom on the third floor.
