Finding Digital Copies of Dissertations & Theses
Dissertations and theses are available through Digital Commons and possibly the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database. If an author has chosen to place an embargo on their work, it may not be immediately available for up to a year or more in either platform.
Once in ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database, use "Advanced Searching," in the search box choose "University/Institution-SCH" from the drop-down menu. You may also add keywords, etc. in additional search boxes to limit your searching to your topic.
Finding Physical Copies of Dissertations & Theses
The most effective way to search for print copies of dissertations, theses and honor's theses by Louisiana Tech alumni is to use the Library Catalog. If you know the name of the author or the title of the dissertation, you can do a keyword search for those.
Prescott Memorial Library keeps two copies of all doctoral dissertations and master's theses, and some honor's theses. One "library use only" copy is on the fourth floor in Special Collections and University Archives, and one circulating copy is kept in the main collection.
