Library Bill of Rights

Originally penned in 1938 by library director Forrest Spaulding, the Library Bill of Rights came to be adopted by the American Library Association in a time riddled with the looming threat of censorship and threats to privacy. It is the duty of a library to safeguard free expression and fight against censorship.
